Colombia, Part 2

In the last post I gave a quick run through of my trip to Colombia. I wanted to add more pictures, hence part two. The following are from Zipaquirá and Villa de Leyva, two small towns north of Bogotá, and the area near Tayrona National Park.

From Zipaquirá, or Zipa, only 50 kilometers north of Bogotá:

Entrance to the Salt Mine Cathedral;
we visited on Mexican independence day

Central square in Zipa

Villa de Leyva, a couple hours further north of Zipa:

Interior of the Museo Luis Alberto Acuña

Main square with Mike

The Terracotta House, made of clay

From our trip to Tayrona National Park:

sunset in Taganga, a town between Tayrona and Santa Marta

exploring near Minca, a short drive from Tanganga

Panorama from the coastline of Tayrona; the beach at the top is also in the park

from my short hike in Tayrona

The park is home to several indigenous groups; this
was only a house for display.
