Colombia, Part 3

So the Colombia post has extended to three. This last one is from my trip with Mike to Medellín and and area to the south known as the coffee region (can you guess why?!).

Colombian avocados are huge!

more Botero!

Riding a cable car towards Parqui Avi, past the hillside barrios;
before the public cable cars, it would take poor residents along
the hills hours to reach the central city

Filandia, near Pereira in the coffee region

Salento

The Valle del Cocora, near Solento. The valley is part of  Los Nevados
National Park  and home of the wax palm tree, the tallest in the world!

Can you spot me at the base of the palm tree?
